Postdoctoral Research Positions
Postdoctoral researchers at V-SENSE are independent scientists who lead their own research programs within the institute's scientific pillars. You maintain autonomy over your research direction, publication strategy, and collaboration partnerships while working alongside faculty advisors and integrated research teams.
Research Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and lead independent research projects within one or more V-SENSE research tracks
- Publish research findings in top-tier peer-reviewed journals and present at major conferences
- Collaborate with faculty mentors and cross-disciplinary teams on sensor development, validation, and deployment
- Lead or contribute to hardware deployments in real operational environments
- Mentor graduate and undergraduate students on research projects
- Apply for and manage research grants to support your program
Required Qualifications
- PhD in a relevant field (Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Biology, Materials Science, or equivalent)
- Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals and/or top-tier conferences
- Demonstrated research independence and ability to lead research projects
- Experience in experimental design, data analysis, or systems development
- Ability to work in interdisciplinary research environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience deploying systems or conducting research in operational environments
- Track record of successful collaborations across institutions or disciplines
- Grant writing experience or prior funding success
- Teaching or mentoring experience with junior researchers
- Publications demonstrating innovation and thought leadership in their field
